Due to the pandemic, my initial proposal of realising a residency in Valparaíso (Chile) with a friend of mine was not possibile. In the meantime, moving from London to Venice and being isolated at my family’s house made me realise the importance of getting in touch with my surrounding. The importance of crating new connections considering where I am now, in a more than uncertain future. I started to consider an unused space in Mestre (Venice) as the starting point of new possibilities for encounters and thinking together.

How can I make the running of the space sustainable from an economic point of view? In which measure, can I commit to this project?

How can it be functional — and not an obstacle — to solve all the rest of priorities I have at the moment?
Giving yourself a timeline and weekly goals is essential to give yourself/your project a direction.

Exchanging ideas with your fellow residents —meaning residents who are working on similar ideas/projects— is super important too.
