- a moment of realisation, change and/or disruption
I realised that structurelessness, which can be so attractive, is the fastest way to disrupt a collective (or a movement). And this is because of the harm it causes to people and their relationships.

- any tools / methods / resources to share
I found a useful guide in the book Healing Resistance, by Kazu Haga. It explains how to approach conflicts starting from a triadic model based on “Relationship”, “Skill” and
“Structure”.

- something you will carry forward
With ventunesimo collective, we are starting a reflexion and a process about the best way for us to stay and work together. First step: face every problem strategically and structurally, not one-time and personally.
I am a filmmaker and curator based in Turin. As a filmmaker, I mainly work with documentary. My practice often involves participatory process and social research.

As a curator, I am part of ventunesimo, an artists collective and research project with a focus on contemporary art and community engagement. We curate an artist residency program in a small village near Biella and we run a cultural space in Barriera di Milano, a suburb of Turin, where we work with artists and social practitioners.
We work towards understanding how the artistic practice can re-discuss and re-negotiate urban elements and human relationships, considering the multi-cultural neighbourhood in which our practice is embedded.

As member of a collective, during this residency I would like to research alternative ways of structuring an organisation, that are not built on traditional or corporate models.
