I am a visual artist based in Milan. My research focuses on the production of syncretic knowledge, merging speculation and activism. I consider myself an engineer theorist and I work at the intersection of art, technology and politics. Work, migrations, surveillance, internet infrastructure are my fields of investigation. In my practice journalism and science- fiction co-exist: by the use of functional media and the creation of antagonist narratives, my aim is to make the pedagogical side of my practice converge towards a strategic turn.
Since 2018 I collaborate with the NO CPR network, which fights alongside migrants against the institution of immigration detention centers. This collaboration took to the realization of projects about necropolitics, underlining the connection, for instance, between the immigration detention centre (CPR) of Milan and one of the biggest data centers in Southern Europe (Supernap, Pavia).
For this residency I will focus on a project called ‘P2D’. It is a project of speculative design that relates to delivery bikers, to experiment alternative exchange forms through the use of blockchain technology.
