Louise Carver
I am a human geographer and political ecologist by training. I research the history and political economy of scientific and expert knowledge used in environmental governance (especially "green" and "blue" economies). I have recently become more involved in collaborative arts practice and also transformative and participatory action research methods. What I am aiming to achieve here is a form of artistic and artefact lead action research which can intervene in policy pathways through working with actors from science and policy contexts. I'm really interested in what kinds of fertile opportunities lie at the intersection of political ecology, artistic research and transformative modes of policy engagement.
