A moment of realization, change and/or interruption:
A personal moment of change was when I agreed to work digitally, both during this experience and in the last months: digital as a stimulus to activate a new methodology of research, interaction and fieldwork. It involves adaptation, which generates change.
The important thing is to be an ongoing and reversible process.
A moment of connection:
A peculiar moment, apart from the pleasant evenings and afternoons on Zoom with everyone or other moments of personal dialogue with some of us, was the arrival of the first group of artists in Biella. The desire to get to know each other.
A familiarity that was also awkward, because for everyone it was - I think - complex to start interacting again with the others: an interrupted dynamics for several months.
All tools/methods/resources to share:
Break out rooms moment.
The other tools, linked to my research and methodology, remain individual and therefore not necessarily useful to the community.
Mutual knowledge, on the other hand, allows the creation of a Community.
The Archive for me is also this: enrichment and understanding of human aspects.
Something to carry on:
On a personal level: the space to say that I don't know something as well as the freedom to say that I don't like something.
As an experience: the need (and possibility) to choose the people to interact with, the sudden sharing with strangers, the beauty of being reflected in your neighbour precisely because he or she is unexpected and alien (unknown). But also the fluidity and diversity of the artistic and curatorial practices we investigated, with their merits and defects.
